Happy Thanksgiving all.

Went out with the NCCC, unlike the weekend rides this was a single group.  So instead of being with the regular riders I was primarily with the long riders.  Unfortunately it's been 3 weeks since I've exercised.

We left San Marcos Restaurant Row and headed to the coast.  We went South to Swami's for a total of about 15 mi. where we had a quick break to that point our average speed was just over 20mph.  We then met up with the SDBC for their ride.  They had about 200 people (which is great because you just take the full right lane.  We headed back North to La Costa, and headed inland.  Took the hills of La Costa that are just South of La Costa and East of El Camino Real.  By that time the main group had dropped me.

The route then headed to San Elijo (aka Questhaven) road and then picked up Elfin Forest road.  We took the ride inland on Elfin Forest all the way to Escondido.   At that point the SDBC was headed down Del Dios but me and a half dozen other riders who were preparing to leave the regroup point headed back to Country Club lane and from there back to SMRR.  The total distance was 44 miles with an average speed of 16.5MPH.
